Appeals Policy

How depicted persons and affected users can appeal content decisions.

Last updated: 29 July 2026

Who may appeal

A person depicted in content may appeal for its removal, including where they state that consent was never given, is invalid or has become void under applicable law. A creator, buyer, seller or complainant affected by a moderation or complaint decision may also appeal that decision.

How to appeal

  1. Open the Complaints & Appeals portal and choose “Appeal”.
  2. Provide the original ticket or decision reference, identify the content, explain the disagreement and attach supporting information.
  3. WBN records the appeal, restricts content where the risk warrants it, and assigns a reviewer who was not the original decision-maker where practicable.

Depicted-person consent

If the investigation determines that consent was not given or is void under applicable law, the content is removed. WBN may preserve restricted evidence where legally required, but it will not remain publicly accessible merely because records must be retained.

Decision and disagreement

The reviewer examines identity, age, consent, deal, upload, moderation and complaint records, then issues a reasoned outcome. If the parties still disagree about a depicted-person appeal, WBN allows the disagreement to be referred to an appropriate independent neutral body, mediator, arbitrator, court or regulator with jurisdiction. WBN will comply with the binding outcome of that process.

Possible outcomes

The original decision may be upheld, varied or reversed; content may be restored, changed, restricted or removed; an account may receive a warning, suspension or closure; and relevant authorities or payment support may be notified where required.
